<p>I am new to programming, a friend gave me a Programming in Go book and I am giving it a go. </p>
<p>I am beyond lost on the install process. I downloaded the MSi, installed it, and the instructions lost me after that. </p>
<p>I tried to do the check install but I just dont get it

<p>I tried doing something with the environmental values by looking at a video.</p>
<p>The installation and instructions dont really tell me where I should be typing these things or where these commands should be going. </p>
<p>Any help is appreciated. I am okay with computers and know a decent amount, but totally new to programming and text editor commands.</p>
<p>I am starting to think I will just go with a Python or a more popular language to get my feet wet. </p>
