Are Go jobs Junior or one year experience friendly?

I'm Ron Burgandy?

xteroide:

Congratulations Ron?

iends:

I live in Raleigh, NC and there is very little demand locally. I know of two companies using it here and I've been looking for quite some time. In NYC/Boston there seems to be more demand.

garoththorp:

Just as a personal anecdote, I've had about 3 recruiter emails on the west coast this year where they specifically mention Go. There are big companies using it here (SoundCloud for example), as well as many startups.

throwawayzerofucks:

i'd avoid soundcloud if i had the option. they've been hemorrhaging talent from chronic in-fighting. most of my friends left, and those who remain are unhappy. i used to work there, and it was one of the most unpleasant gigs in my career. not saying this from acrimony but rather warning.

peterbourgon:

Ha! PM me your story? ;)

Streamweaver66:

I've been getting recruiter calls occasionally for it. Comcast and it seems other video providers, some network engineering companies too.
