The zero value of a Boolean is false. Then, when unmarshaling JSON in a web service, how do you differentiate missing Boolean variable (meaning it's not required or to be changed) and a false variable (meaning it's required or to be set to false)? I'm currently thinking of switching booleans to enums. But wanted to see if others have a better solution.

**评论:**

xrstf:

Use a pointer to bool in your struct and then check accordingly for nil, true or false.

travisby:

This is what we do. There are also NullBoolean and similar data types that slightly abstract this for you

IntellectualReserve:

I didn't know json.Unmarshal could handle pointers within the struct. Thanks really helpful to know. Thanks!

tucnak:

goto stackoverflow.com
