Is there a straightforward way in Go to get information about the GC and heap sizes in order to expose them to a monitoring dashboard. I had a look at the runtime package but there doesnt seem to be anything that does that there. Ideally this shouldnt require any overhead like running the application in profiling mode, etc, but should be production ready.

**评论:**

mwholt:

You mean like this? https://tip.golang.org/debug/vars - check the expvar package.

Feribg:

Yeah I think I found the tools needed with runtime.debug package and https://github.com/rcrowley/go-metrics

karnd01:

There are a ton of libraries around to help out, I wrote this one to try and be as low level as possible by sending metrics via UDP and that endpoint can do the math, storing or feeding into a dashboard etc. https://github.com/go-playground/stats
