<p>This is my first non-trivial Go program, and I was wondering if I could get some feedback on what I've got so far. The goal was to write everything by hand and to not use any third-party libraries so I'd be forced to learn what Go provides out of the box.</p>
<p>I don't have any tests as of yet, so I could definitely use advice as to the best way to test the various states of a git repository that my program looks for.</p>
