I am very interested in programming and have for the past time codes exclusively in Python, I am not that good yet, I cab program simple programs such as Tic-tac-toe and Hangman, but that's about the scope of my skills.
I have always wanted to learn a stronger language, I tried java and c++ but there was something about them that I didn't like.
Then I found Go, and fell in love with the syntax and really wanted to begin learn Go. Is it a good language for a beginner? Where are some good resources for learning it? Could it eventually be good for game development?
Thanks!

**评论:**

Carpetsmoker:

The most important part of learning programming as a complete beginner is .... actually writing programs. So for a a beginner, the "best language" is the language you want to program in. For some people this is Python, for some it's Perl, for some it's Go. Whatever works for you. The only way you can know what works for you is actually trying it yourself. Asking people "would I like language foo?" is like asking people "would I like bluegrass music?" Well, maybe you will, maybe you won't. It's really up to you...

There is absolutely nothing wrong with Python. If you like it, go for it! (no pun intended.) If you don't like Python, try something else. Go is one of many options...

Is it suitable for game development? Maybe. It really depends on what sort of game.
