<p>Our code has used dot imports pervasively, and we want to stop doing that. Rewriting them all by hand will be a lot of typing. <code>gorename</code>'s TODO notes say "handle dot imports correctly", so I don't think it can do it. Can any other tools automate this process? No luck googling it.</p>
<p>One mitigating factor is that each source file generally only dot-imports one package, and they follow a pattern, so I might be able to hack up a naive-but-good-enough script pretty easily, if I need to... but it still seems like it'd be tricky.</p>
<p>Update: I hacked up a script to do part of the work and I'm manually doing the rest. It's pretty miserable.</p>
