Hi, I run a Twitter account called @ThePracticalDev and we will be hosting a Twitter chat tomorrow at 9pm EDT (UTC-0400) and this week our followers have selected "Getting into Go" as the topic of discussion. This is an invitation to anyone who will be available at the time to stop by and chat about Go, contribute to a discussion with a group of developers who are considering getting into the language.

The discussion will be organized by the hashtag #DevDiscuss

Maybe do it on reddit?

seanpfeifer:

Yeah, I'd prefer more of a discussion somewhere on Reddit, or even starting up a Discord server for the session (or multiple sessions).

I guess it comes down to the fact that this person has a substantial audience on Twitter, so that's their platform of choice.

bhalp1:

Yeah it's not ideal, but it's good constraint for consumption of basic ideas and linking to further resources, since you're forced to be brief. In the future we'll find other ways to do this.

Yes, it works out well because of the big audience.

iqandjoke:

I have followed the twitter handle a while ago. Nice work man!

vishbar:

Fyi that's 4am for us in the UK. I'd love to participate but the time is a problem.
