I've got some code that sets up a signal handler and then blocks waiting for a notification to arrive (via github.com/iwanbk/gobeanstalk). What I'm having trouble figuring out how to do is to wrap the blocking
beanstalk.Reserve()
so that I don't try to pull another job until I'm finished processing the first one and that I pay attention to my signal channel so I can terminate the process.
