I was just thinking to myself how "Go being the C Killer" reminds of of how "Windows NT was the Unix Killer" back in the early 1990's.
Windows NT was designed to be a modern alternative to Unix that was safe for "ordinary folks" to use.
Of course, thankfully, Linux was lurking in the shadows.
Is this an analogy worthy of discussion or just a stupid thought?

shovelpost:NT was never going to be the Unix killer. License costs were.
Either way, these two things aren't really comparable since one is a language and the other an operating system.
"Windows NT was the Unix Killer"
Who the heck ever said that or even worse believed it? <laughs linuxically>
